rancois and Marika Theron opened Rusticana Hospitality & Conference Centre in 1996 on their smallholding just outside Klapmuts.

Our name, given to the smallholding by the previous owner, means “peaceful Canaan” in Afrikaans, because he moved from the city and the farm was to him like the Promised Land.

We live out the name and aim at giving our guests a wonderful, warm experience away from the busy city life, where they can relax and be themselves.
